3 is the magic number

well the duet socks are complete! and i love them. the army girl colorway is so great.

the fabric was dense as i knit them on size 1 needles. but i really like that. i think it will help them last longer. lately i have noticed some wearing on my socks and so i am actually going to go to size 0 needles for all my regular sock weight yarn (i have always knit on 1's).
well tomorrow is may day and if you have been reading this blog for awhile you know that may is my blogiversary month! i'll officially hit 3 years at the end of this month. it boggles my mind. as you know, i have done some give aways in celebration and this year will be no different. i haven't worked out prizes (but duh! you know stitch markers will be involved!) but i will say that i highly encourage you to leave comments in may. i will actually be keeping track of all the comments and my contest will somehow revolve around them. so if you are a lurker i suggest you de-lurk if you want the chance at some good stuff! more details to come.

i'm not proud - i'll delurk for the chance of prizes! happy blogiversary!
I don't lurk, so just letting you know how much I adore those socks. The Amy Girl colorway is so incredibly adorable! I prefer my socks to be pretty dense in nature, not so dense they can stand up by themselves, but a little dense is good. I agree that it helps with wear. Happy Early blogiversary!
As a frequent lurker, infrequent commenter and a big fan of your creativity, Happy Blogiversary!
I love those socks Amy!
Happy pre-blogiversary! I've enjoyed reading your blog since the beginning of this year when I learned how to knit. I'm usually a lurker but trying to de-hermitize :)
I'm thinking I'm gonna have to get some of that sock yarn. I live down in the south end and apparently Renaissance Yarns in Kent will have a limited edition Duet Socks colorway exclusive to them to celebrate their 1 year anniversary this weekend. I may have to snag a skein or two as I love how your socks turned out. Now if I can only finish my first sock..
Omigosh-I was going to tell you have much I love your socks anyway, but with the prospect of winning your cool stitch markers I'm doubly incentivized (gosh, that sounds like a word my ex-boss would use!) Happy blog-a-versary!
Very, very cool colorway. Sigh. I think I might have to stalk her site for the Army Girl colorway. Every time I try, it's sold out! I did get a set. . . . um, cool chic? or something like that but I am really liking Army Girl. I wonder how Army Guy works up?
love the socks. fantastic colorway.
Did I win? ;)
Purty socks!
I love the socks! I just bought some Sailor Girl Duet Sock yarn, and can't wait to knit it up.
What pretty socks. I like the slighty unpredictable stripping.
What lovely socks! That colorway is gorgeous. And happy blogversary!
Ooooh, pretty! When I first saw your socks, I thought they were knit in Sundara's Calla Lily yarn (from the Petals Collection). The colors are similar. I'd love to try that Duets yarn; I love the contrasting toes!
Longtime reader, infrequent commenter. Just wanted to wish you a happy blogiversary. Your socks are awesome.
