if you haven't seen last night's grey's, don't read on

well last night there wasn't so much knitting (and thank goodness the knitting that did occur was stockinette). grey's kept me alert as i watched mer being pulled from the water. i have to admit that i had read spoilers ahead of time (i couldn't resist with the rumors that were going around). i knew and know what will happen in the next episode (or so i think). but that didn't keep me from being startled by the presence of bomb guy (denny i saw coming). i LOVED bomb guy. in that short time they were together i felt a major chemistry between the two that rivaled der. my friend and i actually screamed when we saw him.
but the best part of it all was the way they interacted when they found out about mer. that is what i love about the show. the relationships. i admit that i am not a big izzie fan so her whole speech irritated me (and really, do not bring up george's marriage at a time like that, that was so inappropriate and ruined the moment.). as for the others, i cried a bit. i mean der? so sad. and burke being there for him, and mark? and christina, how i love christina and mer's quirky relationship.
i know many people don't like mer, too whiny, but i love her. look how horrible she has had things and she is such a mess (how will they bring up the fact that her drowning may not have been so accidental). it makes for great tv, i always think of mer and der as ross and rachel. i rooted for those guys to the end. i am a sap. seriously. i love grey's. have i mentioned that? now back to your regularly scheduled blog...
working on the cutest slippers. i'll share a pic when i get a bit further. happy friday!

I agree completely! And Izzy's speech WAS so inappropo. Although, I loved when she said "I'm a rockstar!"
Amen to the Izzie inappropriateness. I was wondering where she was going with her "I believe" speech and I was mad when it ended with George. So tacky!
OMG! Totally inappropriate of Izzie! Especially since George was the most VISIBLY upset and hopeless of the group of interns (although I think that the one who will be most affected will be Christina). Regardless of how she feels about George's marriage, THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT was no where NEAR the right moment to say that.
Wasn't it an interesting twist the way Shonda/Betsy made George find what he was searching for all the time being cared for by Callie? They used that as a metaphor for George's happiness. . . . .it was under his nose all along being tenderly cared for by Callie. . he just didn't know it. LOVED THAT!!!!
So, where did you read spoilers for next week b/c I CAN'T STAND IT and I HAVE TO KNOW!
I wanted to shut Izzie up about the whole “I’m a rock star” thing, too. I mean, yes, ok, you saved a man’s life under extreme conditions, but wow – you know? And furthermore, I also couldn’t believe that she went there with George at that particular time, either. I thought that seemed such a stupid, idiotic thing to say at a time like that – and yes, as was already mentioned here, when George seemed the most visibly upset, especially after having just lost his father and not dealing too well with the grief of that. Grrr! At any rate, I think I will not be able to wait until next week – I’m going to have to search for spoilers ….
couldn't agree more on the izzy thing. i would have cried a lot more had that little rant not brought me back out of the moment.
only grey's would contemplate killing off a main character for the sake of friking awesome tv.
It took all my strength to stay away from this computer last night. I immediately wanted to comment to you, but luckily I remembered you had yet to see it.
The Bomb Guy and Denny! Mer dead!? I'm so tempted to read spoilers, but am holding off because it is such great tv. I keep saying, they can't kill off the "Grey" of "Grey's Anatomy", I'll be sitting with my heart hoping until next Thursday.
I loved how everyone was coming together at the end. You're right, the relationships on the show make it great.
Just so you know, you can see bomb guy every week on Friday Night Lights. It's a great show (not really all about football at all) and bomb guy is the main character.
yesterdays show was SOOOO GOOD!! i was sobbing through half of it..then at the end i screamed too! i can't wait till next week!!!
hey...are you going to be selling the stitch markers again sooN? :) I need some Grey's on my needles! lol
Hi, Amy! Sorry to bother you with this, but I’m in the process of doing some massive ring maintenance for the FiberArts Bloggers ring and I am contacting you because there’s a little problem with your code. The code you have up is actually alright, except that the ring’s home page (that the button is linked to) on the urbanspinner site is long gone. The new home page is:
http://unioncenterknits.typepad.com/fiber_arts_bloggers/
You’re welcome to either switch out just that one part of the code, or ask me for the basic default ring code instead.
Please feel free to contact me with any related questions/concerns. Once you have your code fixed up, if you want to send me a note I’d appreciate it, so I can check it out. Thanks!
Joni
Okay Izzie's whole rant esp the part about her eating a tub of butter and if no one sees her it doesn't count...that was so insane!
Freaking A. If Mer dies how will the show go on? On the preview it was like...next week, the devastating conclusion to Grey's. WTfrig.
Seriously. It's getting way too stressful.
I watched this mornign, since I was stuck at work till almost 1am last night, and had been called and warned NOT to watch when I got home, unless I wanted to go to sleep crying.
What kept getting to me was Christina saying "She's my person". Maybe because I'm 700 miles away from my closest friends (moved 4 months ago) or maybe it's not enough sleep, too much work, but that line just tugged at my soul.
I too can't wait till next Thursday night, and I also would love love love some Grey's markers when you have them available again.
Yeah, Izzie kinda pisses me off. But the whole head drilling thing was great. And I was glad that she was off of probation. And seeing Derek get so upset, that makes me sad. Oh McDreamy! I can't wait to see next week's episode either. My fiancee was making fun of me, so I turned around and said, "These people are my friends". What would I do without "Grey's Anatomy"?!
Did you read the Grey's blog about how the "Rock Star" thing was added by her?
Just email me and tell me if she dies. I need one of those stitch markers. PRetty please?!?!?
I'm a Grey lover, too! I totally agree with you -- what was Izzy thinking making that speech and POOR George! LOVE the stitch markers!
I was wondering about the knit with greys stitch markers. Are they available to buy and if not will they be and can I get some?
Also, the knit with greys button on your side bar. Do you have to be a member of a group to put that button up on a blog or is it to state your loyalty :)
Please let me know
sarah
I have been pretty sick of Izzy and her whole "poor me" act for some time. When she went off on her speech last episode that was the last straw. What is her problem with Callie anyway? It seems pretty superficial if you ask me.
Oh my goodness, I am a hopeless Grey's addict too. As much as I loved last week's episode and will be on the edge of my seat until next Thursday, I must say that the whole Meredith dying thing is a bit unbelievable - I mean, considering that the storyline was already used last season with the bomb. Oh well, I still love it and she absolutely CANNOT die. Poor Derek. It will take a lot of restraint not to read the spoiler!
I was frustrated by Izzie, too - made me wonder, is she actually in love with George & jealous that he doesn't "need" her anymore? Anyhoo, I kept this post "new" in bloglines b/c I hadn't gotten caught up on the DVR, thanks for the warning at the beginning. I may have to go searching for those spoilers - I can't believe she'd be gone, and yet, crazier things HAVE happened on network tv!
(And, if I didn't have my knitting, I don't know HOW I'd justify all my tv-watching!)
