condo picture (again, no knitting!)
ok, so no knitting today. i have something to finish up before i take a picture. so i'll share with you with the monster media center from the now non-existent hold everything. remember the saga? i don't think i ever shared an after pic. thank goodness i love the thing, it made all the drama worthwhile.
and sorry about the rant yesterday. i'll share with you a conversation i had with a barista at the starbucks up the street from me. it had a lot to do with my complaining that they don't put a tip line on the charge slips. if i am paying with a credit card do you think i have cash for a tip? no. poor baristas get a thanks and that is about it. the funny thing? the guy DEFENDED starbucks for it. saying it hurt their bottom line to have it on the slip. he made an excuse for this mega corporate company not willing to put a tip line on their receipt because it somehow saved them money. ARE YOU SERIOUS? jeez. i hope that really isn't the reason. ok, so apparently i am not a big fan of starbucks for more than the basketball issue. hmmm, that was another rant wasn't it?

I used to like Starbuck's for a completely frivolous reason... the lemon scone. And then I discovered that Peet's coffee has a yummy pumpkin scone. Maybe it's time to switch?
You're great for wanting to leave a tip. I always feel like there is no way I should tip for a coffee that costs 5x what it should...but the price never stops me from getting that yummy iced vanilla latte.

I wonder if they prefer cash tips because they can get away without recording them? Credit tips have to be paid out and are more accountable to the IRS, I think. Don't know really - just an idea.

I've had the same complaint Starbucks - I have one of those pre-paid coffee cards and you can't leave a tip with those either. AND I got the same response as you! Huh! It's too bad - my reason for the card is so I don't have to carry cash, but I hate not leaving a little something!
WHAT? Starbucks is on crack. OMG! That is unbelievable. I'm so sure they have to worry about the bottom line. How about the bottom line of all the mom and pop shops they have forced out of business by being on every freaking corner! URG!
And the condo. Sickeningly beautiful. How about this? You come here and live in the toddler smeared, messed house and I go there for one week of bliss and vacation. LOL! You have such the eye!
