where did this pattern come from?
i am knitting. a garment. not really a sweater, a shrug. but something that has to fit me. i do not have high hopes for it. but i continue to knit.

i don't know the exact place where the pattern came from. i know it was originally on the craftster board and is a copy of something from urban outfitters. i didn't print out a picture of what it looks like either so i kind of forgot. i googled it yesterday and found something it is supposed to resemble. not really my style, but i continue to knit. i have no idea why i chose this pattern, but it obviously caught my eye at some point. maybe i needed something substantial to knit for awhile instead of all these day projects that always leave me wondering what the heck to knit next. maybe i am bored with knitting patterns. maybe i just don't care. did i mention i don't have enough yarn? it is too hot.
after all that, you know what? i am enjoying knitting it, so i am trying to just let it be. if i have no use for it or run out of yarn i'll cross that bridge when i come to it.
off to make some more stitch markers. i have some pancakes i am working on for the shop. probably a small batch, but i hope to get them done. i seem to sit for about 15 minutes before getting up to do something else!

Ahh...the mighty Circular Shrug. It's still on craftster and it's on my list to knit. It's good to hear you're having fun knitting it. And hey - with as hot as it is in Seattle right now, I'm impressed you find the energy to knit at all! Can't wait to see how your shrug turns out.

I have knit the circular shrug too. Mine didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped. There were some sizing issues I had in the chest area but I like the overall look. BTW, I love your stitch markers!
I'll have to take a look at that pattern. I'm intrigued.
It's never a bad thing to enjoy the process of knitting, even if you don't know whether you'll enjoy the finished product!
Wow, that sounds pretty brave to me! I look forward to seeing how this mystery article of clothing progresses.
Strangely, I also knit that shrug. I have to say it was much cuter on the needles then on me. It turned out to be not my style either, but for some reason I stuck it through. I also decided that I liked the wrong side better then the faux rib on the right side, so I put the wrong side on the outside. Happpy knitting!-pinkpeonies at gmail
I made that shrug too! I love the way it turned out, but I used merino so it is always either too cold for short sleeves or too hot for wool. Someday the planets will align and I will be able to wear it!
Of course I really can't tell anything about it at the moment but it looks promising to me! What kind of a cast on did you use? It looks nice. Knitting is fun no matter what you end up. I'm all for the process.
I absolutely love that pattern and I also want to knit it for myself.
Well, I Love Urban outfitters and I hope this turns out great for you! Happy Knitting!
Hey Amy - Thanks for the tip about the knitting group at VY&T - perhaps I'll see you there tonight!
I have that pattern printed out and have been debating whether to start it.
You have the cutest stitch markers!
