i heart snowmen

i had a little time this season to whip up a few more special stitch markers. i have trouble working with the white clay - it picks up every little thing, but these still turned out great!

they are my good to be girl stitch markers, but in "normal" snowman colors. a couple of these will be going off to erin of skein street who won the final package. and of course i kept a few for myself.

there has really been knitting madness going on. i didn't think i was going to do a lot of handmade knit gifts. but then a couple weeks ago i changed my mind. ugh! why did i do that? that is cutting it so close!! but i have managed to whip up a few creations. i wish it was even more, but this week is going to be dedicated to the baking of the holiday cookies, so knitting will take a backburner (until after christmas in which i have the longest list of "me" projects).

oh! i was going to share my christmas card from this year. it is so knit-a-rific! i knit up a ton of little scarves out of some leftover yarn and did a little design work on my computer. thank goodness for my old dot com job that provided me with a $20 color laser printer when they moved out of town!!

i have completed this years knitting tags as well. i will post a pdf file of them tomorrow. not sure how many people actually use the tags i provide, but hey, might as well put it out there.

well, i am soo looking forward to my favorite week of the year! cheers all!

You're cards are fantastic! You really are giving Martha a run for her money.

Like Lolly, I use my snowman all the time. One of my 5-yr-olds got her hands on it and was using it on her knitting too.

Amy, like Lolly, I use my pink one too, but I am so afraid I'll lose it as it's so one of a kind, ifkwim. ;) Your white one's are simply adorable...simply so YOU. The card is also the cutest, of course!

I can't wait to see what knitted goods you made for gifts for some very lucky people.

Happy Holidays!

I, for one, would love to see your knitted tags. I will probably download it and use it. I have a couple of knitting gifts I can use them for. And I love the Xmas cards too, they are so cute! Thanks for the package. I really enjoyed it and gnoshed on the mint m&ms right away! We both enjoyed the hot apple cider this weekend while it was freezing cold in Denver. Thanks again!

Your cards are great. They look similar to the ones I made last year. I never thought about knitting a little scarf! Very cute! I used felt, but your idea is better!

Oh, those mini scarves turned out great! What a good idea. I've sworn off sending Christmas cards altogether, but if I did, I'd copy you, big time.

Your cards are the best. I try to make my own cards each year so I can appreciate how special these cards are. I can't wait to see your gift tags! I have tried leaving comments before, but since I don't have a blog (maybe in 2006!)my comments show up as anonymous. Anyhoo, Merry Christmas from Rebecca in Maine

That card is SOOOOO cute! You are very creative.

The tags were pretty, too. I'd be happy to use your tags (you mentioned that you didn't know if anyone really did) but how would you suggest I use them? Are they for gifts given?

Great blog. Going to read more now....
