knitless in seattle

as a new homeowner i am discovering interesting things everyday. like the panic that hits you when you realize you have done something to really mess up your new all clad pans. when that crazy rainbow won't come off the bottom of your new fry pan. but then, thanks to surfing the internet you realize you aren't alone and you meet all clad's very best friend.

this stuff is friggin amazing. and while i am still learning what is too hot for my pans it will come in VERY handy.

and as i mentioned before, this is still not a knitting blog for the time being. so, here is my new dining set that i painstakingly assembled this evening. from this i learned that putting things together upside down is a waste of time.

and my big purchase of the day...

that is my new media center that i ordered from the very cool holdeverything.com (i believe they are owned by williams sonoma?).

as you can see i am spending money on furniture the way i used to spend money on yarn ;)

but no worries, i have a knit night tomorrow and this weekend so i am bound to have something knitting related to show very soon!

Well, you might be spending money on furniture, but hello, you just bought a new place! That's to be expected. And the table and media center look fabulous! I really like both of them. Keep enjoying your new place and we look forward to hearing about some knitting progress sometime soon.

Funny, we did the same thing after buying our all clad! But it was my fault I used to scratchy of a pad on them. But then *we* found Bar Keeper's Friend too! And you know what? It also works wonders on porcelein sinks. :)

Nice furniture!!! Looks like your media center could hold quite a bit of stash. :)

My girlfriend and I are hitting the Seattle yrn scene on Friday but we are only going to have a few hours. Which stores do you recomend and are there any that aren't worth the time? TIA, by the way the new place looks great!

Wow... you sure could put a lot of yarn in that media centre. You would even have space to arrange it artfully. (love your blog... I found it shortly A. E. - after entrelac - That entrelac shawl took my breath away.)

Your new home and furniture are awesome! I love your sense of design. Everything looks wonderful! And, yes, you SHOULD use yarn as a design accessory.
